Cookbook Giveaway!!!

The kind people at Hachette publishers contacted me about doing a competition to win one set of two of their newly released cookbooks. They are How To Roast a Lamb: New Greek Classic Cooking by Michael Psilakis and Chocolate: A Love Story: 65 Chocolate Dessert Recipes from Max Brenner's Private Collection by Max Brenner. They both look like great books. Click on the titles to read more.

If you would like to enter into the draw to win the set of two books please just leave a comment to this post saying why you’d like to win them. This giveaway is open to readers in the US and Canada only as per the publishers request, apologies to my other readers. Entries to be in by midday on 24th November 2009. The draw will take place out of a hat on 25th November, and I will post to say who the lucky winner is. Good Luck!!

I had read about Michael's book out there in the blogosphere and would love to add it to my collection. He is a very talented Greek chef...desserts would not be unwelcome either.

HI Kelly-Jean, I am a silent reader of your blog, and have been for quite a while now. I particularly loved your post on the tablet. I have made it many times since reading about it. My grandmother used to make a tablet when I was a little girl, and had forgotten all about it until I read your post. Thanks for bringing back a tasty memory for me. I would love to be included in your draw.

I'd love to win these books because I'm a newbie cook -- could definitely use some advice and guidance in the kitchen! :)

Why would I like to win these books? Hmmm... Simple answer: I've grown up and realized that I need to learn how to cook, but most of all, I need to understand the anatomy of food which is so intrinsic to almost every aspect of human existence (beyond the physical need). I'm in the process of devouing everything I can in learning how to cook and think these books would be an awesome addition to my education. Plus, I love Greek food and CHOCOLATE! Please accept this as my entry.

I would love win these cookbooks because they both seem to be exquisite masterpieces in and of themselves, much less the food presented!

I just love to collect recipes, cook from recipes, and collect recipe books. My family are my guinea pigs. I always cook from recipes and always a new recipe. We rarely have the same thing twice. If so, it's probably from a different recipe with a little different slant.

I pick one type of cuisine each month to experiment with and am looking forward to January being Greek month. I would love to use Michael's book as a source of inspiration. And desserts are always welcome at our house....I don't even need to assign a month to experiment with those!

I want to win these books because I am putting together a Thank You basket for a very lovely lady who led our Apples of Gold ladies bible study. She slaved over meals and then shared her heart and her home with us younger ladies. What a lady of strength and wisdom. She would appreciate these books very much.

I love lamb when it is cooked right and would like to try some new ways to cook it. My mom used to make a great leg of lamb and served it with the mint jelly. Now as to the other cookbook - one word -chocolate!

I love cookbooks. These two are espcially appealing. I've read about them and now want to own them. So many recipes, so little time!
